Privacy Policy

Last updated June 19, 2026

Your privacy matters. This Privacy Policy explains what information Mr. Doot (“we,” “us”) does and does not collect when you use the website at mrdoot.com (the “Service”). The short version: we don’t ask you to sign in, we don’t use tracking cookies, and we don’t sell your data.

1. Information we do not collect

We do not require an account, and we do not collect your name, email address, or any other personally identifying information to play the game. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

2. Game data stored on your device

Your daily puzzle progress, win/loss results, and streak statistics are saved in your browser’s localStorage — they stay on your device and are not transmitted to us. They’re used only to remember your progress between visits and to show your stats and share grid. Clearing your browser storage erases them, and they are not synced across devices.

3. Privacy-friendly analytics

To understand how many people enjoy the game and which pages are visited, we use a self-hosted instance of Plausible Analytics, a privacy-focused tool. Plausible does not use cookies and does not collect personal data or identify individual visitors. It records only aggregate, anonymized metrics such as page views, referring sites, and general device or country information. We cannot use this data to identify you.

4. Server logs

Like most websites, our hosting provider may automatically process standard technical information (such as IP address and browser type) as part of delivering the Service and maintaining security. This information is used only for operating the Service and is not combined with the analytics above to identify you.

5. Third parties

The Service is delivered through our hosting and analytics providers described above. We do not share your information with advertisers or data brokers, because we don’t collect personal information to share.

6. Children

Mr. Doot is a family-friendly game suitable for general audiences. Because we do not collect personal information from anyone, we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the Service evolves. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above.
